Here`s another great article:

So I just got an 8 week old puppy and believe me, I know this is going to take months and months to get down, but I was just wondering if anyone had tips or tricks on how to best crate train their puppy? I’ve been watching a lot of Zack George videos on YouTube but I was wondering if you had anything that worked well for you?

Right now with covid-19, we have been trying to do two/three hours out of the crate, one hour in during the day. We’ve been trying to keep him in there all night except for his bi-hourly potty breaks. When we leave him in the kennel during the day he gets very whiny and will try to climb the side of the kennel. He is responding well to treat training, when we tell him to sit while inside the kennel. However, after 10-15 min of being in the crate he starts to whine again.
