Shouted at my dog during training, and now he’s scared

Here`s another great article:

I have been training my 13 week labrador on an exercise called "Place" where I direct him to a placecot/mat and reward him with food when he sets all four paws on it. We've been doing it for a couple weeks but yesterday it was a lot of regression, and it got to me. I shouted at him angrily "NO" and slammed a kitchen cabinet. Now he is very weary of his placecot and it takes a lot of coaxing and food to get him on the placecot when before he would eagerly jump on it because he knows it rewards.
I feel terrible and know I fucked up. Do I just train him from scratch again, and let time take care of his fear?
