Rescue dog is stressing me out.

Here`s another great article:

Hi everyone, My fiancé and I are fostering an 8 year old dachshund who was rescued from a puppy mill. With COVID, we were both working at home and he was sleeping peacefully in his crate at night in a separate room. Well, unexpectedly, my fiancé has changed jobs and we are both at work for 8 hours during the day now. Our dog is confined to our kitchen while we are gone to prevent accidents. He is not crated they whole day while we are gone. The first few days, our pup was okay. He had no accidents and went to sleep fine in his crate at night but was very very excited when we got home. Yesterday, he had started barking and pacing in his crate when we put him to bed at night and will NOT stop. I don’t know if this is because he is stressed out when we aren’t there or what. This behavior is new and it is stressing me out like crazy. I have no clue what to do and I’m having trouble sleeping. Any advice would be helpful.
