Here`s another great article:
I have a 2 year old BichonxToyPoodle and she's started peeing in the house for about 2-3 months now. I can't remember exactly when it started, but feeling like forever. It's not 100% every day, maybe every other day with some consecutive days.
Any suggestions as to why? She's been house trained but all of a sudden she started peeing everywhere (floor, sofa, etc). Worst part is the cleaning since she ends up tracking it everywhere. I've done my best to keep up the cleaning with enzymatic cleaners but who knows!
Anyway, I wake up to it. Sometimes its dried, sometimes its fresh. We have a schedule for 3 times a day, wake up, afternoon, and before bed. How do I re-train when I can't even catch it happening? Vet says no UTI or anything else that would be unhealthy so… very confused.
It's definitely frustrating and I don't always keep to positive reinforcement – "bad" / "bad girl" while pointing to the mess. Having her sit and no attention for like 15 minutes while I clean. What else can I do to get her to stop a behaviour that I don't know what triggered?
