Potential dog trainer red flag??

Here`s another great article:

I posted earlier this week about my families new (almost) 9 week Goldendoodle! Since this is our first dog we have decided to look for a trainer to consult with, and they suggested flicking our puppies nose when he bites. Is this a red flag to avoid? We have really been trying to only use positive reinforcement or harmless negative reinforcement (ignoring when puppy is jumping/scratching). Again this is our first puppy and not 100% sure on how to deal with negative reinforcement and it’s long term affects so any advice would be appreciated! puppy tax
