Here`s another great article:
My pup’s been doing really well since we got her in March, but last night she randomly went all in on trying to eat poop left by another dog on the sidewalk whose owner didn’t pick it up. I didn’t realize what she was eating at first, but got a very good idea after pulling it out of her mouth. Needless to say, I’m disgusted. I’ve read this behavior is not completely abnormal, but she’s never shown an interest in eating poop before and is at the tail end of when others say puppies usually leave this phase (just shy of 9 months now). Is this something we should be worried about and maybe talk to someone? Or, barring any appetite or energy loss, should we just chalk it up to puppy gonna puppy and move on?
