Here`s another great article:
Hey everyone, could really use some help on this one.
My partner and I adopted a 4 year old husky mix. For the first week he was great, affectionate, well behaved besides minor stuff. As a husky he’s pretty energetic so we take him on two long and a couple short walks a day, plus inside house playing and practicing commands. So near the end of the first week he has been increasingly nippy and mouthy when he wants to play. I’m not sure if it’s because he more comfortable, or because he’s testing, but I’m guessing he was not taught as a puppy to not do this. Any ideas? Also looking for advice how to retrain it, we have been saying “ouch” and ignoring him for a minute or so after he does it. He especially does it to my partner for some reason.
