Leash reactive dog—in need of additional suggestions

Here`s another great article:

I have a rescue mutt (Shepherd & Whippet mix potentially) and she is about 8-10mo old. I have her enrolled in behavioural classes with other pups. Our trainer says that she has fear-based defensive aggression—she is afraid of other dogs and will sometimes growl and show her teeth at them.

Our trainer as suggested to work on nailing down "Look at Me," and to use this cue when we see other dogs on the street, and to reward with a treat. Our trainer has also suggested the "U-Turn" when she is getting riled up when seeing another dog.

When we first got her (2 mo ago) she was less leash-reactive than she is now. Just wondering if there are any other training ideas I can use to help combat this.
