Here`s another great article:
We have a 4 month old golden retriever puppy, he's brilliant most of the time but has recently started a particularly annoying behaviour. He's not allowed up on the sofa unless we invite him, but recently he's been jumping up onto it and barking and nipping at me when I try get him off. It kind of looks like the zoomies as well, as he runs back and forth across the sofa at the same time, almost as if he's gloating(!) He does also exhibit "normal" zoomies, ie. running around the garden or between rooms, so I don't think it's purely just excitement which is causing him to act strangely around the sofa.
Is my puppy challenging me, if not what else is the behaviour, and how can I nip it in the bud before it becomes habitual?
thanks in advance 💛
