Is it okay for her not to sleep in her crate?

Here`s another great article:

Hi, so we got our Corgi 4 days ago and we set up her crate inside her play pen. It is also attached to my bathroom which I blocked off everything for her except a patch of grass for her to potty. So she does not sleep in her crate at all but rather sleep on the floor. And I’m completely fine with this. She is not able to get out of the play pen, there is nothing hazardous in her play pen, it’s just her toys, bed and food. She has not had any accidents, she knows to pee on the grass. Would it be okay for us to not lock her in her crate at night to sleep? Would this be something we’ll regret down the line?
