Is it better to reward a dog for an action every time they do it, or is it better to reward them sometimes and not other times?

Here`s another great article:

It might sound strange, but I think I've read somewhere that it's better to only give your dog a treat reward some of the times they perform an action rather than everytime. It was something about how they see it as more worth following the command. I honestly dont have a clue, I read it ages ago.

I'm planning on training my dog to return to me when she hears a squeaking noise. I basically dont know how often I should reward her with a treat once she gets the hang of what she is supposed to do.

Any advice will be very much appreciated since I've always been very overly worried when it comes to dog training 🙂
