Here`s another great article:
My puppy Finn is a flatcoat retriever, and is 4 months old. He is everyone’s best friend, and loves my boyfriend and I dearly.
However, he can get overexcited when in the vicinity of our faces – licking, jumping up around us to give us ‘hugs’, squashing us on the couch. He obviously is doing it out of excitement and love but he is going to a be a big dog, and it’s not appropriate behaviour.
I don’t want to reprimand him for being affectionate, but I’d like to stop having a 12kg pup on my chest! For clarification, we don’t let him jump up when we’re standing and this is really only a problem when we are sitting down or kneeling.
Any advice welcomed!
