I am ignoring my puppy in response to bad behaviors. When he bites, I’ll get up and leave his play pen. But when I try to leave, he’ll try to jump out through the door. I’ll have to hold him back with my foot or pick him up to put him back in. Then, once the door is closed and I walk away, he’ll whine, bark, and jump at the play pen while I ignore him. And it doesn’t stop. This behavior could go on for an hour. How do I stop the whining and jumping without “rewarding” him by giving him attention for it?
