Here`s another great article:
We lost our sweet elderly dog, Kelsie, 2 weeks ago. It has been really hard, but we decided pretty quickly that we wanted to bring a new puppy home soon. We knew her time was limited, although her passing was very sudden, so we had already been researching breeders and had a good idea of what we wanted. We have a 15 month old Goldendoodle, Kima, and we want a puppy around while she is still young and energetic. As luck would have it, the breeder we had chosen has a new litter ready to go in mid-April. We were pretty far down on the waiting list, but it is a big litter of 12. With everything going on, a lot of people dropped off the waiting list and we ended up with 3rd pick and 1st pick of the males.
Little Bodie (bow-dee) will be coming home in 2 weeks! We are so excited to have a new little ball of energy around. Kima is a sweet girl, so we have very few concerns about her and a new pup. If anyone has any advice on introducing a puppy to a younger dog, we would really appreciate it!
