help with resource guarding and biting

Here`s another great article:

Toy Poodle, 22 months, male.

Hi, I'm currently doing research on how to further train my 2-year-old dog. So far he is housebreaked, have no problems with leashes, does not bark a lot, friendly with people, sits when I'm about to put down his bowl or give him a treat.

The current big problems are resource guarding (Will bare his teeth and will bite if I try to take something away from him that he has gotten a hold of). and he won't open his mouth or really let anyone near his mouth (will also bare his teeth and bite) to check his teeth which makes it really difficult to maintain and I now have to get cleaning done for him.

Could anyone offer any advice on how I should go about training him for the current situation or are there any videos you would recommend?
