Guide to crate training a fussy puppy

Here`s another great article:

I have a 14 week border collie. The issue we have is that he doesn’t like staying in his crate.

He will go in his crate for his kongs during the day, and he sleeps in the crate decently at night (little bit of whining). However, in the day, once his kong has finished he will start barking and biting the crate.

He spends all of the day excluding nap times with us, playing etc. I want to train him to chill in the crate ready for when I go back to work in a months time.

Is there a guide/does anyone have any advice on how to get my puppy to stay in the crate? I’d like to be able to crate him for 1-2 hours in the daytime but as of now he just about manages 5 minutes so not sure where to go from here. I’ve tried putting his nylabone in there but h won’t play with it.

Please help! Thanks 🙂
