Here`s another great article:
So me and hubby finally decided to get our first pup together. He's quite experienced/grew up with dogs while I'm not. I never grew up with animals and am really excited to get a dog.
We're picking him up in a few days and I'm starting to feel extremely anxious and just scared in general. When I think about why, it's mostly because I'm scared I'll mess it up or the dog is just not gonna see me as a leader or something like that. Mostly, I'm just scared I won't know how to handle a situation or what to do if my husband is at work all day and I'm not.. stuff like that. Is this a normal reaction? It feels like I'm getting cold feet… I really don't know anymore. I'm extremely excited but scared at the same time, if that makes sense.
Anyone experienced this, and how have you dealt with it?
