Here`s another great article:
I had the brilliant idea of teaching our new pup to use a doorbell. Fiance thought that it might not be the best idea. While i've done a great job with most of his training if I do say so myself, I royally screwed us on the doorbell.
We hung a rope with bells right next to the apartment front door, and our boy can not get enough of this thing. He seems to understand that he gets to go outside when he rings the bell. But no matter how many 20 second walks in and out I do when he rings it, he will ring this bell all day. I don't want to take the bell away as he seems to understand that's how he gets to go to the bathroom, but the constant ringing 10 minutes after a large bathroom trip is starting to drive us insane.
Any tips on the doorbell are greatly appreciated!
