Here`s another great article:
I have a 10-month-old goldendoodle and from the time we brought her home she has always ripped up grass and dug in our backyard. We have tried tons of methods such as luring her away with treats and trying to engage her with other toys. Over the winter we had lots of snow on the ground so she wasn't able to do this and she played so nicely in the backyard. Now all the snow is gone and she's back to ripping up huge clumps of grass and dirt. She does this and then just flings them around. I'm sure she's eating some of it but she's not doing this to consume it. It's clearly behavioral. Any suggestions?
