Here`s another great article:
I got a lab/border collie mix in January and he’s about one now. Ever since I’ve had him I have noticed a trend that’s been getting worse. He walks fine on a leash but my apartment has a dog park area where I let him off to run around. If there aren’t any other dogs around he sprints around and barks at me non stop. I can understand that he probably wants to play and I let him run for a few minutes but this will go on for 30+ minutes before I am able to catch him and get him back on the leash. The same thing is happening when I go to friends houses and let him loose in a backyard. If anyone has any advice on how I can train him to be able to run and have fun but listen to me when it’s time to leave that would be great.
