Does chicken need to be boiled not pan-roasted?

Here`s another great article:

I recently pan-roasted some chicken breast for my puppy for treats (no oil or seasonings, simply cooked in a hot fry pan until fully cooked).

He's had sloppy poops most of yesterday and today (first bit is solid then gets mushy, sorry for so much info!). I'm also transitioning him to a grain-free kibble, but I've done that very slowly and we're onto day 8 of that now (95% new kibble 5% old). He's also had some residue on his bottom after each poop that ive had to carefully clean.

Should I have boiled the chicken breast? Or is this just a phase?
