Do you have to continue using a clicker forever when you want said dog to follow any command?

Here`s another great article:

Like the title says, once I start training my dog using a clicker do I have to use it forever for any command that correlates with the clicker? Can I stop using the clicker at some point? Once said dog completes the commands with ease and expertise can I stop using the clicker? Or do I need to continue with the clicker?

Sorry that the format is fairly straightforward and to the point, but I didn’t want to write a whole novel or a potentially dumb question. (Also sorry if this a stupid question to be asking.)
