Here`s another great article:
I have a 4-month old puppy and she keeps digging at her own bed. I know that it's part of instinct to make her more comfortable or cool down her body temperature. I've provided her with a fan and put her favorite blankets over the bed, but she is still digging at the bed. Should I be preventing her from doing it or should I let her keep doing it because it is part of her nature? I don't want to misunderstand what she really wants. For now, everytime she scratches at it, I take her bed away because when she scratches at it, she eats the fluffs that she scratches off. She has 2 beds and so, I take the one she scratches away and she'll go to the other bed and just lay down and sleep on that one instead. The one she scratches at is a round overstuffed bed while the one she doesn't scratch on is a flat bed. Could it also be because of the bed shape that causes her to scratch more?
