Defaults to Down

Here`s another great article:

Hi Everyone! I've had my hound mix for a little over two months now. She's super sweet and for a hound puppy, is relatively obedient.

As we've worked on training one of the main "issues" I have with her is that 60% of the time instead of sitting when I tell her to sit, she automatically goes straight down. She might be a little too eager to receive an award. But any tips on 1) stopping this and 2) Getting her to sit back up from the down position. THANKS!

P.S. – She's going to a board and train for 3 weeks at the end of the month, so it's a focus area for that (along with recall and other simple obedience), but still always could use the tips!
