Am I not feeding enough?

Here`s another great article:

I have a 10 week old lab and the breeder we got him from was feeding him 2 times day about 1-1.5 cups of iams per meal at 8am and 5pm. Ive been sticking to that schedule and obviously have fresh water for him throughout the daytime, but after researching, I read that puppies less than 4 months should be fed atleast 3-4 times a day.

I am wondering if I should be giving him less food per meal and implement a third meal in the middle of the day or if I should continue with my schedule (8am and 5pm). The puppy has gotten his first vaccine when he was still with the breeder, but I personally have not taken him to vet yet as, the vet recommended to bring him in at 12 weeks for his second round of shots.
