Here`s another great article:
I have a 5 month old lab who is an absolute angel. However one problem I’ve noticed recently is that he is constantly chewing on his tail. He chews on the end of his tail until it is drenched in dog drool. He doesn’t act like it hurts, he just chews on it. I have thought it might be fleas but we give him a monthly pill to prevent heartworm, fleas, and ticks. He also doesn’t itch much otherwise, he’ll sometimes scratch at his belly but that’s it. If this continues I absolutely will take him to the vet, but I wanted to see if any of you had experienced this before? Did anything help? Thanks for any advice!
