Here`s another great article:
I’m not sure if this goes into RIP or vent but… For my birthday, my dad got me the perfect puppy (shorkie) but she got sick. I took her to the vet and they gave me an update later that afternoon saying she her condition was doing pretty good. It worsened over night and the next morning though and she died from parvo. I’m devastated. She was such a happy puppy but I spent the last few days seeing her sick and depressed. Two days later (today), my dad brings home a new dog. I love him but i’m still grieving. I can’t help but feel guilty and terrible when I hold him because he’s not my little shorkie pup. I know I shouldn’t feel guilty but I just think about how if she was alive, she’d be in his place right now, being held and cared for. I’m just so devastated.
