Here`s another great article:

Hi all! Proud mommy to a brilliant, 13 week old GSD. Right now he knows a few basic commands semi-reliably but well on our way to getting them down perfectly. We’ve done training in basically every room of the house to avoid him thinking he only has to listen in the kitchen. Luckily, he’s praise, toy, and food motivated! I love this breed. So my question is when should I start training with distractions (i.e. outside, stores, etc?). When he’s fully got the command down inside the house? Any tips/advice on getting/keeping his attention? Trying to perfect the “watch me” command but we just started to we have a little ways to go.
