Here`s another great article:

Hello, I started training actively my dog after reading a little bit this sub. I’m wondering if it’s ok to use the same word in different contexts? For example: I use “up” for when I want him to jump for his toy, when I want him to go up the stairs in our building or when I want him to get up from a lying down position. It seems to understand what I’m asking (seems to) and kinda needing your advice on this. I have a 1y2m old shih tzu and I talk to him in my native language (which is not english). Thanks!
