Ultrasonic trainers and/or deterrents

Here`s another great article:

This is not strictly related to dog training, but for those of you who have used ultrasonic devices such as pet trainers or deterrents, have you noticed them having any effect on your hearing? I know that seems like a silly question because humans can only hear up to 20,000Hz, but ultrasound frequencies have been found to affect the ears and other senses.

The reason I ask is that I have been experiencing symptoms of tinnitus that seem triggered by something in my living environment (it only seems to be noticeable in one particular room). Something that has caught my attention is a new neighbor who is in the middle of training his dog, and I have started to wonder whether he may have placed ultrasonic trainers near the shared walls.
