Tail chasing.

Here`s another great article:

I have a 10 year old Jack Russell/Corgi mix that I adopted a little over a year ago. On certain circumstances he will chase his tail until it bleeds. If it is just him and I, he never does it. When my girlfriend comes over and the attention is not on him, he goes crazy. I can’t even touch her butt without him doing it lol. I was curious if anyone had any suggestions on what to do. He had pretty bad damage on his tail from biting it, so I thought maybe it was nerve damage and had about 3 inches amputated off…long story short- he still does it.
