Should I "reset" between steps in the Relaxation Protocol?

Here`s another great article:

I've recently gotten a dachshund puppy and so far things have been… Challenging… But overall good. Potty training, crate training, recall, deference – all in a good place. She's a bit of a worrier though. So I've started Karen Overall's Relaxation Protocol.

But! I can't seem to find consistent answers on some of it. Most importantly: if I'm doing a session with multiple steps should I "reset" (i.e. take out of the sitting position) my dog? So if I am doing "down for 5 seconds" followed by "down for 10 seconds" – should I get my dog to stand back up after 5 seconds, or just reward and move onto the 10 seconds step?
