Rescue bares teeth when we move her

Here`s another great article:

We’ve had her since last March. She’s only 2 (golden retriever/husky(?) mix), and we’ve started to notice that her past owner might have been in a bad situation. Biscuits cowers anytime voices are raised and sometimes flinches when we go to pet her. We’ve really worked on all of her other issues, but this one we are struggling with. She’ll get her self comfortable (usually somewhere inconvenient) and one of us will try and move her. She’ll start to growl, snarl, and show her teeth.

What can we do? Why is this difficult for her? How can we work on this behavior? I just want her to be happy.
