Here`s another great article:
Hi guys, my 15 week old puppy has never really panted before. We were away from him for a week and just picked him up on Sunday. He was in the care of a trusted family member who has a fully vaccinated dog.
We noticed Sunday night that he suddenly started panting – fast breathing, tongue out, mouth open. This is the first time we’ve ever noticed this; it’s like a whole new facial expression. Today (Wednesday) his appetite is down, he didn’t want to walk (unusual), hasn’t pooped, and is continuing to pant. He wants to play but is a lot less energetic than usual.
Should I be worried or am I just a nervous nelly new dog mom?! And is panting something puppies learn as they get older? I can understand if that’s something they just grow into.
