Here`s another great article:
Hi, I’m looking for some advice on my new 5 month old puppy. He has started barking to get our attention. We’ve been taking the approach of ignoring him, so now he has escalated to nipping us and then trying to jump on the furniture. The nipping usually doesn’t hurt and is more playful but has hurt a little a few times. We currently don’t allow him on the furniture, so this approach has been working for him to get our attention, even if it is to tell him “down”.
This usually happens right after he has been out for a walk, and it seems the more energy he expends on the walk/run, the more hyper he is when he gets home.
Does anyone have suggestions on what we should try here?
