Here`s another great article:
Well… myself and my partner brought home a new French Bulldog Puppy – he was 8 weeks when we got him… we have now had him for 1 week.
From the moment I got him home, I felt sick to the stomach, like I had just made the biggest mistake of my life. A truly horrible feeling. I had read prior to picking him up, that it is common to get puppy blues, so I felt these feelings would just pass. After a week, it hasn't, and now I only feel worse. My life seems ruined, I feel sick all the time, and now only focus on the negative things, like: leaving him alone now seems cruel, my home is ruined, etc…
To cap it off, it seems I am also allergic to the pup, strange because I've always been fine dogs, but I guess the difference is fur could be the cause. I've been taking tablets, but still I'm coughing and sneezing all over the place.
I love dogs, have grown up with them all of my life, but for some reason, with this pup, I cannot shake the feeling that taking him back to the breeder is the only option, the only one which will save me from this internal hell. Dramatic i know, but I really feel like I've depression, crazy.
Anyway, just looking for some advice from anyone else out there who's felt this way.
