Here`s another great article:
She’s a 3 year old German Shepherd mix, and recently she has been urinating when I put her collar and leash on for walks. She is housetrained and I take her out several times a day. I suspect it’s from us moving recently into a new apartment, but any advice on stopping this?
When she does pee I take her around the corner into a hallway while I clean up, then we go on our walk. It doesn’t happen when I leash her outside after she’s done playing off leash. And I don’t think it is medical because she hasn’t peed any other time in the house.
I’ve tried treats, getting down to her level, taking her out more often, but nothing seems to be working. Currently I’m keeping her collar on and seeing how she’ll react to her leash tomorrow.
