Here`s another great article:
I’m at my wits end with our puppy not napping in her crate for longer than an hour anymore! She’s 10.5 weeks, and up until the last 2 days (had her 2 weeks) she’s been good with being lured into the crate and sleeping 1.5-2 hours at a time. We go back to work Monday and have started practicing our work schedule about 4 days ago. She did good for 2 days and on day 3 and 4 (today) she refuses to nap for longer than an hour. It’s an endless cycle of nap for an hour and cry for an hour. Is it because we are home while she’s “napping”?
We need her to be okay with being in the crate for 2 hour stints with 3 breaks a day while we work from 8-5. Do we need to just tough out the crying? She starts biting the bars, pulling in the cover, and scratching the bed furiously when she’s waking up halfway through and I’m concerned for her safety.
I’m feeling like I won’t ever be able to return work and I’m honestly feeling a huge amount of regret in getting her.
