New dog has started going to a different room and laying in the corner. Should I be worried/training to try and sit with me?

Here`s another great article:

I’m not sure if this is the right place, but I have a new dog, and have had him for about 4 months. Lately, he’s been going into the dining room (out of sight of living room) and laying down in the corner. He doesn’t seem scared, but I’m not sure if I should be worried or try and train him out of it. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
