Here`s another great article:
I've had my dog for about a year and a half now. I got him as a rescue at around 2 years old. He was cute and full of personality but a mess. Climbing on furniture (like CLIMBING: backs of couches and tables), jumping on counters, chewing on everything, and not potty trained. Supposedly he even had some separation anxiety (although I wasn't sure.)
After about a year and a half and a LOT of work he passed his Canine Good Citizen test about a month ago and TODAY passed his AKC Novice Trick Dog test. I'm so proud of him.
We're going to keep going because he seems to love it and it keeps him out of trouble mostly!
Keep going everyone! Two weeks ago I was at my wit's end with him and we spent his entire training session just trying to calm him down. It'll pass. You'll get through it. Breathe and keep going. You both deserve it!
Here's to all the even better years ahead!
