Moved to a new place and having to deal with chickens all around us.

Here`s another great article:

My german shepherd has a very high prey drive. We just moved into an apartment at my job and I have to walk through a backyard full of chickens and ducks to get to my stairs. My dog is leashed with a prong collar everytime we walk through the backyard. He lunges at them if they are close enough and I can't seem to break him of this.

I've tried treats but he's way more interested in the chickens than anything I have offered him. He's gotten better at how close they can come before he lunges but he hasn't fully broken the habit. I can't avoid walking through the backyard as that is how I have to take him out to pee or take him for walks. Please help!
