Here`s another great article:
I left my dog with my partner's family while we went grocery shopping (30 minutes). She got let out into the yard and bolted. She's been spotted a mile away, and it seems like no one could catch her. She has my phone number on her tag, but no calls yet. I think she must have tried to find me, because she never bolts like that when I'm around. Tried retracing our steps back to the grocery store, no luck. We left my clothes on the lawn and food outside.
I'm wondering if I should continue searching for her today or wait it out and hope she comes back. She's ran long distances before and turned up at home. But this time, we are in a new place. We just got here two days ago. Any advice is appreciated.
