Here`s another great article:
Hi-I have a 9 month old Golden Retriever puppy and I’m trying to get him comfortable with being alone. He will work on a Kong, but as soon as he gets a few minutes into it he starts slamming it on the ground to bounce it (he learned this because I started by putting kibble in the bottom, little did I know, although he slams his antlers and femurs on the ground too) Now I’m short on stuffable food toys I can leave him with as I walk out the door. I don’t want ones that roll or bounce, since it means food bits all over and possibly through the baby gates. He will work on a white sterile bone FOREVER, even unstuffed, but I read you shouldn’t leave those unsupervised. Thanks for any advice-
