Jumping on counter

Here`s another great article:

My 9 month old pup has eaten an absurd amount of food off the counter in the last week. Pepperoni off of half a pizza fresh out the oven, an uncooked pumpkin scone, a quarter stick of butter set out to soften, etc.

Obviously, my bf and I just need to stop setting things within her reach on the counter but she’s grown recently and is able to reach pretty far back. Is there any way to train her not to do this? My natural inclination has obviously been to get mad and give her a loud “No!” But I don’t think that offsets the delicious pumpkin scone reward she gets for doing it lol.

Is the only solution just to not give her the opportunity or can she learn some kind of restraint?
