Here`s another great article:
Overall, I’m pretty much through the initial puppy blues stage. I’ve gotten my little meatball relatively housetrained and he finished his first puppy class. Everything is going great except one thing: he does not do well on walks.
What I mean is that he will walk about 5 steps and then either sit down or dig his feet in so we don’t go any further. I tried luring him with treats but he just learned he could sit down, then walk 5 steps, then get a treat and rinse and repeat. He’s still young (4 months) so I’m not too worried yet. But I’m wondering if anyone else has found a way to get lazy dogs to walk?
Thanks in advance!
