Introducing a clicker to a puppy

Here`s another great article:

My puppy is a mixed race female around 11 weeks old.

She's with me for a week now and so far I've been training her without using a clicker (w/ treats and positive reinforcement). It's doing really well as far as I can tell, she is really calm and since I give her treats, she can: sit, lay down, stay…

I know that only a week is not a long time, but I feel as if I try to introduce the clicker she'll have trouble adapting. Also I'm afraid she'll only respond to me when I have a treat in my hand.

Is the clicker a good idea in this case?
