Here`s another great article:

So I have a 4 month old corgi, it took him forever to get potty trained (2 months), but he will now tell us by scratching or sitting at the back door. However we keep backsliding, sometimes instead of sitting or barking he will just walk up to the door and pee next to it. Any advice? I feel like he knows better, because he doesn’t go anywhere else in the house. And the fact that he’s associated the back door with potty is a good thing but I feel like he is just being lazy?
