Originally, he was too scared to come back down again, but with a lot of encouragement and treats he can confidently come back down again.
Anyway, so in my attempt to teach him the command 'downstairs' he's started going halfway up the stairs and then staring at me until I notice that he's there. When I say 'downstairs' he'll pretend he can't do it unless I have a treat in my hand and then he'll happily hop down. He'll do this a few times in a row haha!
Have I accidentally made this into a game? How do I go about teaching him not to go up there?
