Here`s another great article:
I have an English bulldog puppy and overall he’s an angel and much better than I was expecting my puppy experience to be. My problem is that during his nightly energy burst, he gets really bite-y and goes after people instead of his toys. I was “fine” (as is I accepted it as puppy behavior I had to correct) with it until tonight. Normally, I’ve been following my trainer’s recommendation to push him away and say “no biting!” And he usually will sit down and be more docile.
Tonight, I tried doing that and he flew back at my hand and bit me so hard my palm was bleeding.
What strategies do you have for getting strong jawed dogs to not bite?
