Here`s another great article:
My 6 month old bloodhound/coonhound mix is the most stubborn dog on the planet. Whenever we walk he will flop atleast 5-15 times and refuse to move. I've tried dropping treats to get him to stand, waiting him out, giving him designated breaks and nothing seems to work. For the past two weeks I've been using ham as a treat and rewarding him whenever he stands up and continues to walk while using the command "lets go", as well as rewarding him when he is walking well. So far I have seen no progress. Some days are way worse than others, today was one of those days. I live downtown in a busy city and sometimes he will flop in the middle of the road. I'm terrified this will happen when he's over 100 pounds and I won't be able to move him. Have any of you dealt with this before? I feel like hes constantly walking all over me whenever this happens.
